JEFF & JOY BANGUIS

Jeff is known for his passion for worship, pastoring and church planting. His 25 years of full-time ministerial experience started with Hong Kong Church of God followed by Breakthrough Church of God in Vancouver. He has ministered as a Pastor and Worship leader in United Arab Emirates, Philippines, and Australia. He graduated from North Vancouver’s Capilano University and Indiana’s Trinity Bible College Seminary. He is presently pastoring Breakthrough Church of God with his wife Joy. They have two married children and two grandchildren.

CHURCH COVENANT

Where we have accepted Jesus Christ and have committed to worship God, and to live under his Lordship, and have been blessed with fellowship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and hence been blessed with fellowship with all believers, we hereby declare that with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit:

• We will walk together in the love of Christ

• We will strengthen one another and those who are weak.

• We will exhort, encourage, counsel and admonish one another.

• We will carry each other’s burden.

• We will work towards unity and refuse deeds that create disunity.

• We will not forsake the meeting together of believers.

• We will be faithful in the study of His Word.

• We will earnestly pray for others as well as for our families.

• We will faithfully give and support the work of the Church

• We will be good stewards of the resources that God has given us.

• We will endeavour to be faithful witnesses by living godly lives.

• We will pursue ministry for all ages, for all nations.

• We will win souls for Christ in response to the great commission.

• We will walk in fellowship with one another.

• We will work towards the equipping of all.

This covenant is my covenant with God and His church, to live and do all things for the glory of the one who gave His one and only begotten Son and gave His Holy Spirit that we may live as salt of the earth, light of the world, and children of light in this part of the world.

DECLARATION OF FAITH

Breakthrough Church of God is a body under Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee)

The Church of God believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired and that it is the written Word of God. The Church of God has adopted the following Declaration of Faith as its standard and official expression of its doctrine.

We Believe:

• In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
• In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
• That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
• That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
• That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
• In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
• Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
• In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
• In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
• In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
• Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
• In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.
• In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
• In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
